The Fifth Circuit has GRANTED REHEARING in the Rangra v. Brown case.
The court recently ruled that the criminal provisions of the Texas Open Meetings Act chill the First Amendment rights of city officials, and remanded the case to the federal district court to determine if those provisions can survive constitutional strict scrutiny (which they CANNOT).

Cursive handwriting in English is archaic. Schools should remove from the elementary curriculum.
Electronic word processing, and block lettering, suffice in today’s world. Perhaps another half-hour of science class for 3rd and 4th graders could replace cursive lessons.

Utah has officially switched to the Four Day Workweek, to save energy.
We should all follow suit. Closing many government buildings three days a week would save millions of dollars in energy costs for Texas alone. Plus the savings associated with commuting of tens of thousands of government employees at the state and local level.
